Data Deletion Instructions

How to request deletion of your Simjot account and personal data.

Last updated: 21 June 2026

Simjot is operated by Gillside Solutions, 7 Temasek Boulevard #12-07 Suntec Tower One, Singapore 038987. You can ask us to delete your Simjot account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make a request and what happens next.

1. How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your account and data in either way:

  • By email — send a request from the email address registered on your Simjot account to support@gillside.com with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Please include your Simjot handle so we can locate your account. Sending from your registered email helps us verify the request.
  • In-app — where an account-deletion or data-deletion option is available in your account settings, you can submit the request directly from within Simjot.

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the request comes from the account holder before we act on it, so that we do not delete an account at someone else’s request.

2. What gets deleted

When we process a deletion request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data we hold about you, including:

  • your account and login association;
  • your handle (username) and profile information;
  • your messages, posts, and other content you created (subject to the note on shared conversations below);
  • your mobile phone number and any mobile-verification records;
  • your date of birth or age-band and other age-gating records;
  • session and device records associated with your account.

Note that content you shared in a group or conversation with other people may have been seen or copied by them; while we delete or anonymise your copy and your authorship link, we cannot retract content already received by others outside the Service.

3. Timeline

We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of receiving (and, where needed, verifying) your request. Backups and logs that contain residual copies are overwritten on our normal rotation cycle shortly after, and are not used for any other purpose in the meantime.

4. What we may retain

We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required or permitted to do so, for example to:

  • comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or comply with a lawful request from an authority.

Any data we retain for these reasons is kept only for as long as necessary and is then deleted or anonymised.

5. Questions

If you have any question about deleting your data, or want to follow up on a request, contact us at support@gillside.com. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
